THE BRIEF

We were asked to design and develop a brand for a restaurant located in an old car garage based in Denver, CO. Steuben's was created in homage to a once heralded and family-owned restaurant located in Boston during the 1940s-60s. I developed the look and feel of the brand by pulling from bits of ephemera from the original Steuben's as well as found examples of vernacular type referencing the history of the building. The result was an eclectic identity system with references to gas stations from the 1950's.
